A Division League: Jawalakhel Youth Club tops the list



KATHMANDU: The Jawalakhel Youth Club has ascent to the top of the Shahid Smarak A Division League football undergoing in the capital.

Jawalakhel climbed to the top position after defeating Manang Marsyangdi Club by 3-0 in the match played at Chyasal Football Ground in Lalitpur on Saturday.
Nkoto Masobi scored two goals in Javalakhel’s victory. Fode Fofana added a goal. With this win, Javalakhel has collected 17 points in 9 games. Manang is in third place with 15 points.

Similarly, Machindra Club played a 1-1 draw with New Road Team (NRT) in the match at Dasharath Stadium in Tripureshwar on Saturday.
In the 39th minute of the game, Omalaja Nuren Karim scored and gave Machindra the early lead. However, in the 67th minute of the game, Stephen Jr. scored and brought NRT to a 1-1 draw.

With this tie, Machindra has scored 13 points in 9 games. NRT has scored 7 points in 8 games.
