People will be able to vote from abroad: Prime Minister Dahal

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has said that arrangements will be made to allow Nepali citizens outside the country to vote from abroad.

Addressing a program organized virtually by the CPN-Maoist Center Diaspora Coordination Committee on Friday night, he said that such a provision will benefit millions of migrant Nepalis who have been deprived of voting in elections.

Stating that the government has been working to improve the foreign employment sector, he said that the government will do more for the sector. He also said that the participation of migrant Nepalis in the Social Security Fund is the security of the workers.

The Prime Minister said that he has emphasized promoting coordination among public and private sectors for economic development. There have been positive signs to solve the problems of Nepal’s economy in the past three months.

Claiming that the Maoist Center has the major force that led to the new constitution and brought the country to its current state, he said the challenge now is to ensure speedy development and guarantee employment.

There is an improvement in revenue collection in recent days while the rate of interest has also been reduced, the Prime Minister said while adding that the initiative was taken to solve the problems of the private sector.
