Leopard attack injures two in Pokhara



POKHARA: Two people have been injured in a leopard attack in Pokhara.

According to Pokhara police, 28-year-old Shrikrishna Malla Thakuri,  and 32-year-old Rajesh Timilsina were injured after being attacked by a leopard that entered Tulsikunj Kalij firm in Pokhara Metropolitan City-18 Bhakunde on Wednesday morning.

The injured were working in the farm when the leopard entered and assaulted them.

The injured are undergoing treatment in a local facility and Pokhara Metro City Hospital. The relatives of the injured reported that the condition of the injured is normal.

Two pheasants were also killed in the attack.

A team of locals, police and forest office was deployed to control the leopard. After the attack, the leopard was found dead in the bush.

The dead leopard has been taken into custody by the forest office team.
