Yeti Air plane carrying 72 people crashes near Pokhara Airport



POKHARA: Yeti Airlines plane, which flew from Kathmandu Airport on Sunday morning carrying 72 people, including four crew members, crashed near Pokhara Airport.

According to Kaski Police Chief SP Ajay KC, the Yeti Air ATR flight from Kathmandu met crashed while the plane was in the process of landing.

Chief District Officer of Kaski, Tek Bahadur KC, said that the plane, which was in the process of landing, had an accident in the gorge of Seti, some 2 km from the airport.

Security personnel and ambulances have been mobilized for rescue.

Details of the accident are yet to come.
