Festivals unite Nepalis in a single thread: Bagmati Chief Sharma



HETAUDA: Bagmati Province Chief Yadav Chandra Sharma has said that Maghi festival or Makar Sankranti has its own specialties and cultural importance as the sun moves from tropic of Sagittarius to tropic of Capricorn.

In a message of greetings on Maghe Sankranti today, Sharma has said that all festivals marked in Nepal are national festivals and such festivals have worked to unite all Nepalis in a single thread.

The festivals being marked by all communities in the geographically, ethnically and culturally diverse country Nepal are national festivals, read the message.
