Fire destroys five shops in Damak



JHAPA: Five shops were damaged in a fire that broke out in Damak of Jhapa district on Sunday morning.

The fire that started in Raju Shrestha’s shoe shop damaged five other adjoining shops.

According to the District Police Office, Jhapa, the fire was completely brought under control in the morning.

Fire engines from Damak, Kamal, Gouradaha and Urlabari municipalities, local residents and police brought the fire under control.

Damak Police said the police are collecting the details of the damage.
