Minister Kirati provides blankets to Chepang families



CHITWAN: Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, Sudan Kirati, has distributed blankets to the Chepang community.

Sixteen Chepang families of Sapreni of Ichchhakamana rural municipality-1 have been provided with two blankets each.

He shared that he supported the Chepang community from the amount he received from the sale of his book, adding it was necessary to protect the language and culture of Chepang.

The government would give special priority to the protection of the language and culture of marginalized communities, he mentioned.

Minister Kirati honored Bhote Bahadur Chepang and Babari Chepang with Rs 5,000 each for their contribution to protecting Chepang culture.
