Janamat Party joins government, Anita Devi sworn in



KATHMANDU: The Janamat Party has joined the government led by Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda.

Party lawmaker Anita Devi Sah took the oath of office on Monday morning, taking the oath as the Minister of General Administration.

The oath of office and secrecy was administered by President Ram Chandra Paudel at Shital Niwas, the President’s Office, today.

Previously, the role of General Administration Minister was held by Amanlal Modi of the Maoist Centre.

On Sunday, Modi was recalled from the government by the Maoist Center, opening the pathway for the Janamat Party to become a part of the government’s coalition.
