Top Bahadur Rayamajhi arrested
Former Deputy Prime Minister and CPN-UML Secretary Top Bahadur Rayamajhi, who was absconding in the fake Bhutanese refugees scam, has been arrested. SSP Dan Bahadur Karki informed that he was arrested from Budhanilkanth on Sunday. According to the police, Rayamajhi had come to Kathmandu on Saturday. He was arrested from Pasikot of Budhanilakantha.
Three major parties agree on parliamentary committee leadership
Major three political parties in the parliament– CPN-Maoist Center, Nepali Congress (NC), and CPN-UML–have reached a consensus on the allocation of parliamentary committee leadership.

Solution lies in prompt action against corrupts: KMC Mayor Shah
Mayor of Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) Balen Shah has said that all corrupt people should be drowned in Bagmati river. Taking to social media on Sunday, Shah said that solely engaging in street protests will not bring an end to corruption. “The solution lies in promptly taking action against the corrupt individuals,” he added.

Drought hits cardamom plantation in Taplejung

621 cases of fire with 16 casualties reported in one month
There were 621 incidences of fire including forest fires in a month in the country. According to the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority, the country recorded 527 cases of fire and 94 of wildfire in between April 14 and May 13.
