Mayor Balen Shah suggests ‘prompt action’ against corrupts

KATHMANDU: Mayor of Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) Balen Shah has said that all corrupt people should be dipped in the Bagmati river.

Taking to social media on Sunday, Shah said that solely engaging in street protests will not bring an end to corruption.

“The solution lies in promptly taking action against the corrupt individuals,” he added.

“You have been elected as a leader entrusting you with the responsibility to enact direct actions and formulate policies aimed at eradicating corruption, rather than participating in street demonstrations,” Mayor Shah said.
