KATHMANDU: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index, which has fallen by double digits for two consecutive days, showed a moderate increase on Tuesday.
The stock market index increased by 1.85 points and closed at 1953.06 points today.
Despite the growth in the sub-indices, the decline in manufacturing, trade and microfinance sub-indices including banking leading the market, there was only a moderate increase in NEPSE.
The turnover reached close to Rs 1.4 billion today. There was Rs 1.359 billion worth turnover from 26,473 transactions today.
Out of 214 companies’ shares traded in the market on Tuesday, the share prices of 126 companies increased while the share prices of 78 companies decreased. Similarly, the share prices of 10 companies have been stable.
