Two dead, six injured in truck accident in Gorkha



GORKHA: Two people died and six sustained injuries when a truck met with an accident in Gorkha district last evening.

The deceased have been identified as Umesh Shrestha of Aarughat in Gorkha district and 32-year-old Bishnu Khadka of Shailung in Dolakha district. Shrestha was a truck driver while Khadka was working in the Rastriya Banijya Bank, Gajuri branch, police said.

Both were critically hurt in the accident and breathed their last during the treatment.

The accident occurred when the truck with registration no Pra-3-01-003 K 6170 coming towards Aanboohkhaireni from Gorkha fell off some 200 metres down the road after hitting a motorbike with registration no Ba 86 Pa 1785.

Some pedestrians were also hit by the uncontrolled truck ferrying vegetables, police said.
