Breaking the NC-led alliance has been a remarkable success: UML Chairman Oli

KATHMANDU: CPN-UML chairman KP Oli has deemed breaking the Nepali Congress (NC)-led democratic-left alliance and forming a new government under new alliance as a success of UML leadership.

Addressing the opening session of the General Convention of All Nepal National Free Student’s Union (ANNFSU) in Kathmandu on Tuesday, he claimed the forging of new alliance as his success.

“By breaking the NC-led five-party alliance, we succeeded in forming a government under CPN-Maoist Center Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda'” he said, adding, “Forming the new alliance then was an uphill task, yet we did it successfully.”

However, he also alerted his leaders and cadres that the current political equation may change at any time.
