MoHA directs police to book those involved in Monday’s mobile loot incident



KATHMANDU: The Ministry of Home Affairs has instructed the police to investigate the incident of robbery at a mobile shop during the movement of transport workers in Balaju on Monday evening.

Spokesman and Joint Secretary at the Ministry, Jitendra Basnet informed that on Tuesday Home Secretary Binod Prakash Singh called Police IGP Dhiraj Pratap Singh and instructed him to seriously investigate the matter.

The protest by the transport workers turned violent on Monday evening.

Protesters also ransacked Lhotse Mall during the protest. They robbed the ACDC mobile center in the mall and looted the gadgets worth millions of rupees.
