Barshaman Pun flown to Kathmandu after health deteriorates



KATHMANDU: Former Minister of Finance and Deputy Secretary General of the CPN (Maoist Center) Barshaman Pun has been flown to Kathmandu from Rolpa after his health deteriorated on Saturday.

According to Maoist Center sources, Pun, who had reached Rolpa to take part in the program of Rolpa Samriddi Foundation, was flown to Kathmandu in a helicopter after noticing serious health issues.

Pun has been admitted to Sumeru Hospital in Lalitpur this afternoon.

He had returned from China after receiving treatment some weeks before.

Leader Pun, who participated in the warm clothes distribution program in Rolpa’s Holleri on Friday, could not participate in the blanket distribution program organized in Lungri Rural Municipality on Saturday.
