KATHMANDU: The government has officially accepted the resignation of Bharat Raj Gautam, the former general secretary of the federal parliament, who tendered his resignation on Sunday.

President Ram Chandra Poudel has given approval to Gautam’s decision to step down from the position.

In light of Gautam’s departure, Padma Prasad Pandey, presently the secretary of the House of Representatives (HoR), has been appointed as the acting general secretary.
