Only NC can lead the country to its best: Former General Secretaries

KATHMANDU: Three former General Secretaries of the Nepali Congress (NC) shared a common platform on Friday.

The trio of former General Secretaries—Shashank Koirala, Prakashman Singh, and Krishna Prasad Sitaula—converged at an event held in Kathmandu today, joined by Central member Arju Rana Deuba.

The occasion was a seminar discussing ‘Political Achievements and Today’s Challenges,’ organized by Raju Shrestha, NC Bagmati General Secretary.

During the event, the leaders shared the same tune that NC is the only reliable party to lead the country ahead.

Former General Secretary Sitaula voiced his conviction that the country cannot be governed by communists, emphasizing the need for the NC to reconsider its strategy for national leadership. He declared, “If we reform ourselves and unite, there is no other party as dependable as the NC.”

Furthermore, he highlighted the necessity to revisit various issues, including the constitution’s implementation, and called for a serious overhaul of alliances, party policies, and government operations to set the country on the right course.
