The meeting aims to make a targeted decision on the issue involving eight lawmakers, including Kedar Karki, who has filed a claim for the position of Chief Minister of Koshi Province.
On the preceding Thursday, Indra Bahadur Angbo, a leader of the CPN-Maoist Center, and NC lawmaker Kedar Karki submitted their candidacies for the Chief Minister’s post, each claiming the support of 47 lawmakers.
Karki submitted his claim with the signatures of 39 lawmakers from CPN-UML and eight lawmakers from NC, while Maoist Center’s Aangbo submitted his claim with signatures from 29 lawmakers from NC, 13 from the Maoist Center, four from CPN-Unified Socialist, and one from the Janata Samajbadi Party.
