Maoist Center decides to recall Minister Modi to vacate seat for Janamat party

KATHMANDU: The CPN-Maoist Center has decided to recall Federal Affairs and General Administration Minister, Amanlal Modi from the cabinet to vacate a seat for the Janamat Party leader.

According to Maoist Center Secretary Devendra Paudel the meeting of the party officials convened at the Prime Minister’s residence in Baluwatar on Sunday made the decision to recall Minister Modi.

The spotlight now turns towards Anita Devi Sah of the Janmaat Party, poised to take on the ministerial mantle. This imminent shift in power comes in lieu of Modi’s incumbency, which commenced on January 17.

Notably, Modi had achieved a notable double victory, triumphing in consecutive elections from Morang constituency number 5 before his ministerial debut.

Modi had been actively involved in the party activities during the Maoist Center-led armed war.
