Pakistani Embassy awards winners of essay writing and speech competitions



KATHMANDU: The Embassy of Pakistan in Kathmandu today organized an award-giving ceremony of the 10th Annual Ambassador of Pakistan Essay Writing Competition and 6th Annual Ambassador of Pakistan Speech Competition.

Pakistani Ambassador to Nepal, Abrar H Hashmi, gave away awards to the students.

This year, the topic of Essay Writing competition was “SAARC – How can it be used for Regional Prosperity”, a statement issued by the Embassy, said.

Students securing first, second and third position in the Essay Writing Competition were presented Gold, Silver and Bronze medals along with Souvenir and cash prizes.

The next ten best students were also presented with consolation cash prizes.

Top position holders of the Speech Competition on “Impact of Climate Change on our Livelihood – Common Challenge to South Asia” too were given Gold, Silver, Bronze medals along with Souvenirs & cash prizes. The next thirteen best students also received Souvenirs & cash prizes.

Students from 38 higher secondary schools to university students participated in the two competitions.

Ambassador Hashmi lauded the participating students for their critical thinking and called on them to embrace the challenges of the future.

The Ambassador highlighted the importance of youth interactions between the two countries as the abiding bridge.

According to the statement, the two competitions are held each year consecutively for last five and 10 years respectively which have become very popular among the Nepalese youth and attract the brightest students from all over the country.
