Three Chitwan colleges to run entrepreneurship assistance programs



CHITWAN: Three management colleges in the district are going to conduct entrepreneurship support programs.

The Saptagandaki Multiple Campus, Shahid Smriti Multiple Campus and Presidency College of Management Sciences are going to conduct entrepreneurship support program under the ‘NCHEP’ project of University Grants Commission.

The three colleges in Chitwan are currently in the process of developing a curriculum and choosing entrepreneurs who are willing to receive training and financial assistance for the implementation of the program.

A total of 18 campuses have been selected for the project.

Under the program, 30 students, former students and teachers will be selected from each campus every year. After receiving the training, if selected in the evaluation, the university will bear 60 percent of the proposed investment amount. The amount will range from Rs.500,000 to Rs.4 million. This amount can be used without any interest for three years.

However, the grant money will be received in installments according to the progress of the business.
