Former King Gyanendra inaugurates UML leader Prasai’s ‘Mechi-Mahakali campaign’



BIRTAMODE: Former King Gyanendra Shah on Monday inaugurated a campaign to establish Nepal a Hindu state spearheaded by CPN-UML central member Durga Prasai in Kakarvitta of Jhapa.

Prasai, also the owner of B&C Hospital in Jhapa, has claimed to reinstate Nepal as a Hindu state.

Former crown prince Paras Shah also joined the inaugural campaign with his father Gyanendra.

Prasai said the campaign to change the system will start from Mechi in Kakadvitta of Jhapa and will reach Mahakali.

Former King Shah inaugurated the grand campaign by lighting a lamp at Mechi Bridge.

Prasai has been demanding the abolishment of federalism, and the declaration of Vedic Hindu state.
