Nepal sends 22 tons of relief material to earthquake struck Turkey



KATHMANDU: The government of Nepal has sent the first batch of relief materials for the earthquake victims in Turkey.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, more than 22 tons of relief materials were sent to Turkey on Monday afternoon.

The relief materials include medicine, medical equipment, baby clothes and other essential materials.

Turkey has been badly affected by the powerful earthquake that occurred last Monday.

According to media reports, about 30,000 people have died in Turkey and Syria.

Soon after, the meeting of the National Council for Disaster Risk Reduction and Management, held at the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers office on February 8, decided to send essential materials and health workers to Turkey.
