Maoist Center to make unity with like-minded parties to form Socialist Front: PM Dahal

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda, who is also the chairman of the Maoist Center, has said that his party would unite with like-minded parties to form a Socialist Front.

Speaking at a program organized in Kathmandu on Monday on the occasion of ‘People’s War Day’, PM Dahal said that the soon-to-be party unity will give a new impetus.

Dahal also said efforts were being made to reunite the parties, which split from the Maoist to form other political outfits.

“I want to appeal to all the different groups of the Maoist stream to unite again for social justice and transformation,” he said.

He said that he is constantly in discussion with the leadership of those groups, and other Communist forces to form a Socialist Front.
