Gandaki CM Adhikari taking vote of confidence



BIRATNAGAR: The Chief Minister of Gandaki province Khagaraj Adhikari is scheduled to take the vote of confidence from the province assembly meeting today.

The province assembly meeting is summoned for 1:00 pm this afternoon.

According to Gandaki Province Assembly Secretariat the vote of confidence motion will be presented at the meeting and later would be tabled for decision.

In the 60-member province assembly, UML’s Adhikari was appointed the chief minister with the backing 33 lawmakers including 22 of UML, 8 of CPN (Maoist Center), 2 of Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) and independent candidate Rajiv Gurung.

There are four ministers including Chief Minister: Sita Sundas from UML, Hari Bahadur Chuman from Maoist Center and Pancharam Gurung from RPP. All ministers are sans portfolio.

CM Adhikari is likely to assign the ministers without portfolio the ministries today.
