Province 1 Chief Minister Karki expands cabinet



BIRATNAGAR: Chief Minister of Province 1 Hikmat Karki has expanded his cabinet on Friday.

With three more ministers taking oath on Friday, a 7-member cabinet has been formed in the province.

Among the newly-appointed three ministers from Maoist Center are Durga Chapagai, and Jeevan Acharya, and Buddhi Kumar Rajbhandari from UML.

The Maoist Center, which had had earlier decided not to join the government, joined the Province-1 government.

Acharya is the son-in-law of Prime Minister and Maoist Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda.

Til Kumar Menyangbo of UML, Bhakti Prasad Sitaula of Rastriya Prajatantra Paryt, and Nirmala Limbu of Janta Samajwadi Party have already been appointed as ministers.
