Tension flares at Birgunj Metropolis as Mayor and Deputy Mayor supporters clash



BIRGUNJ: The Birgunj Metropolitan City Office faced heightened tension as clashes erupted between supporters of the Mayor and the Deputy Mayor on Tuesday.

The heated altercation unfolded at the metropolitan office among backers of Mayor Rajesh Man Singh and Deputy Mayor Imtiyaz Alam. Both factions engaged in a tumultuous situation, escalating the dispute over the functioning of the metropolitan office.

District Police Office, Parsa had to deploy more security personnel at the office premises to maintain order after the clash.

The controversy stems from the social security and registration section situated in the old office premises, now left vacant after the executive office relocated to another building.
