RPP calls central committee meeting from Dec 17-19

KATHMANDU: The Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) has announced its central committee meeting to be held in Kathmandu from December 17 to 19.

Party senior leader Rajaram Shrestha stated that the meeting has been convened to ratify the party’s new regulations following discussions on its draft. The gathering is anticipated to result in the reshuffling of roles and responsibilities among some party leaders.

As per the agreement during the party’s unification convention, the drafting of new party regulations was set in motion. The upcoming meeting will address topics such as the party’s candidacy in the National Assembly election slated for January 25, along with potential alliances with other political parties.

Additionally, the agenda includes discussions on the House of Representatives by-election in Ilam, where Party Chair Rajendra Lingden will present a political report, and General Secretary Dhawal Shamsher Rana will introduce the party’s organizational report.

The meeting is poised to review the country’s latest political, social, and economic landscape, as well as the party’s current parliamentary standing. Strategies for the continued strengthening of the party organization will also be a focal point.
