BIRATNAGAR: The ruling coalition parties in Koshi Province have concluded discussions on the allocation of ministries.

Indra Angbo, the leader of the Maoist Center Koshi Parliamentary Party, stated that an agreement was reached among the ruling partners.

Under the agreement, the Nepali Congress (NC) party has got four ministries, including the Chief Minister, while the Maoist Center got three ministries.

Additionally, the Janata Samajwadi Party and the Unified Socialist Party got one ministry each.

Sources, meanwhile, claimed that the cabinet would undergo expansion soon after Tihar festival.

The political landscape in Koshi Province underwent a transformation when Kedar Karki assumed the role of Chief Minister after rebelling from the Nepali Congress party.

Despite support from the CPN-UML, which facilitated his appointment, the UML withdrew from the government, citing disagreements over Chief Minister Karki’s inclusion of Maoists and Unified Socialist without consensus.
