Paragliding begins in Sindhuli



KATHMANDU: An adventure sport, paragliding, has begun at the commercial level in Sindhuli. It is of its first kind in the district.

The sport was launched on August 7 while its successful test was conducted on April 25 early this year.

The service based near the Kamalamai Municipality-6 was started at the cost of Rs two million, according to proprietor Netra Jung Thapa.

It has been licensed to operate up to five paragliding flights simultaneously and the fee per person in a flight is Rs 6,500.

The locals are however entitled Rs 1,000 discount per month.

The sport that falls into the category of adventure tourism is expected to contribute to the promotion of tourism in the district.
