Tremor jolts Bajura



KATHMANDU: An earthquake took place with its epicenter at Bicchiya of Bajura district.

According to the National Earthquake Monitoring and Research Centre, Lainchaur, an earthquake of magnitude 4.4 was felt in the district at 7.38 am this morning.

Earlier too, an earthquake with its epicenter at Bichhaya occurred several times in Bardiya.

An earthquake of magnitude 3.9 had also rocked the Sindhupalchowk district on May 28.

Lately, earthquakes are recurrently taking place in the eastern and western areas of Nepal.

Nepal’s hilly and mountainous areas are considered a vulnerable zone for earthquakes.
