Monetary policy review will ensure economic mobility: Governor Adhikari

KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank Governor Maha Prasad Adhikari has made it clear that flexibility has been carefully adopted through the review of monetary policy.

Speaking at a press conference organized at Hotel Yak and Yeti to clarify the issue of the third quarter review of the public monetary policy, the governor, on Friday, expected a positive impact of the revised policy.

He expressed his belief that the interest rate reduced by 1 percent overall will reduce the interest on deposits and loans and help in economic mobility.

Governor Adhikari also claimed that there are some arrangements to give banks and financial institutions the responsibility of how to facilitate their customers through monetary policy.
