Ruling coalition discussing cabinet expansion

KATHMANDU: The ruling coalition is holding a meeting today (Thursday) to discuss cabinet expansion, among other issues.

Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal “Prachanda” has earlier said he would expand the Council of Ministers only after taking a vote of confidence in the Parliament.

The meeting to be held today is likely to finalize the distribution of ministries among the ruling partners.

According to Prime Minister Prachanda’s private secretary Ramesh Malla, the cabinet expansion will be discussed in the meeting.

On Wednesday evening, Prime Minister Prachanda discussed cabinet expansion with CPN-UML Chairman KP Oli.
