Dr. Govinda KC announces Satyagraha to commence on Sept 15

KATHMANDU: Social activist and Senior Orthopaedic surgeon Dr. Govinda KC has declared his intention to initiate a ‘satyagraha’ campaign on September 15, provided his demands remain unaddressed.

In a statement released on Monday, Dr. KC officially announced the commencement of the satyagraha on the specified date.

Previously, he had postponed his planned satyagraha, originally set for August 14, following numerous commitments made by the government to meet his demands.

However, in light of the government’s failure to uphold these commitments, Dr. KC stated in his Monday statement, “We deferred the satyagraha scheduled for August 14 by one month upon receiving assurances from the government that it would fulfill our demands. Regrettably, it appears the government has forgotten its promises; hence, we will resume our protest on September 15.”
