Inclement weather hinders rescue helicopters’ landing at accident site



KATHMANDU: The two helicopters that went to rescue the 9N-MV helicopter of Manang Air have been unable to land at the crash site.

Issuing a press statement on Tuesday, Civil Aviation Authority Nepal informed that two helicopters that went for rescue could not land.

Earlier, a Manang Air helicopter met with an accident in Lamjura of Likhupike Rural Municipality-5, Solukhumbu.

General Manager of Tribhuvan International Airport, Pratap Babu Tiwari informed that security personnel including local residents have been mobilized for rescue while the rescue choppers are trying to land at a safer place nearby.
