Local levels should prioritize skill development, market promotion: Minister Rijal



MAHOTTARI: Minister for Industry, Commerce and Supplies, Ramesh Rijal, has urged the local levels to put skill development and market promotion as a priority.

During a meeting with people’s representatives of Bardibas Municipality and leading political cadres at Bardibas today, Minister Rijal mentioned that a journey of prosperity could get momentum only if skills could be enhanced to boost production as per local skill and to increase market of locally-produced goods.

He opined, “Let’s connect people with skill, skill with production and produced goods with the market.”

The government was ready to support if local levels take leadership for the same, shared Minister Rijal.

He further said people’s representatives should make plan to forward activities as per the concept of industrial village in every local level.

Also the central committee member of the Nepali Congress, Minister Rijal opined that there should be a clear roadmap of raising people’s living standard in the regular organisational activities and plans of the parties.

On a different note, he clarified that there would be no intervention by the government in investigation and action on the fake Bhutanese refugees scam forwarded by police.

All of them, who are involved in this scam should face action, added Minister Rijal, saying all political parties should stand together to stem corruption as it is the main obstacle of country’s prosperity.
