NC President Deuba holds talks with PM Dahal

KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress (NC) President Sher Bahadur Deuba on Thursday morning reached Baluwatar to hold talks with Prime Minister (PM) Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda.

NC President Deuba held talks with Prime Minister Dahal a day after NC leader and former Home Minister Bal Krishna Khand was arrested in the case of fake Bhutanese refugees.

NC insiders said Deuba is under pressure after his wife Arzu Rana’s name has also been mentioned in the scam.

Meanwhile, it has not been revealed what transpired between the two leaders at Baluwatar.

However, the Prime Minister’s Secretariat said that the two leaders discussed the current political developments, and the issue of fake Bhutanese refugees, among others.

Meanwhile, CPN-UML leader Subash Chandra Nemwang also reached Baluwatar to meet PM Dahal today itself.

This fake Bhutanese refugee issue has become more complicated after top political leaders started getting involved in the case of extorting money from Nepalese citizens to send them to America as Bhutanese refugees.
