NEPSE witnesses double digit growth on Tuesday



KATHMANDU: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index increased by 27.31 points to close at 1871.33 points on Tuesday.

This is an increase of 1.48 percent.  Yet, the transaction amount did not reach Rs 1 billion today. The day witnessed the transactions worth Rs 945.2 million.

While the value of 16 companies decreased, 201 companies witnessed the growth.

Not only NEPSE, but also all sub-group indicators saw the growth on Tuesday. Banking group increased by 16 points, development bank by 79, finance by 37, hotel and tourism by 53, hydropower by 37, life insurance by 86, manufacturing by 139, microfinance by 49, non-life insurance by 62, other by 17, and business subgroup by 21 points today.

The price of Kalinchowk Darshan rose the most by 10 percent. The value of Adarsh Microfinance increased by 9.6%, Creative Microfinance by 7.6%, and Unique Nepal and Chyangdi Hydro by 7.4%.

The Shivam Cement, Sanima Middle Tamor, Prabhu Bank, Himalayan Distillery, and Nabil Bank remained in the lead in terms of turnover today.
