NMA to halt all health services on Sunday

KATHMANDU: The Nepal Medical Association (NMA) has decided to halt the entire health care services except for the emergency ones across the country on Sunday in protest of attacks on medical persons.

The NMA has decided to suspend all the health care services that are carried out by the government, non-government, private and cooperative health institutions, hospitals, medical colleges and academies.

However, emergency services will not be disrupted. Issuing a statement today, President of NMA Dr Lochan Karki has said that NMA’s serious attention was drawn to the attacks on Senior Orthopedic Surgeon Dr Janith Lal Singh of the National Trauma Centre and other health workers.
