KATHMANDU: The Doha Forum 2023 is set to begin in Doha, Qatar, spanning from December 10 to 11.
This event serves as a premier platform for dialogue, bringing together leaders, government officials, heads of multilateral organizations, private sector executives, think tanks, and influential opinion makers.
Minister for Foreign Affairs, Narayan Prakash Saud, is at the helm of the Nepali delegation, adding a distinct voice to the discussions.
The Forum is poised to delve into contemporary global and regional issues, fostering comprehensive conversations among diverse stakeholders.
One of the focal points of Minister Saud’s agenda is to advocate for the release of Bipin Joshi, currently missing in Israel.
Scheduled meetings with his Qatari counterpart and State Minister for Foreign Affairs, Soltan bin Saad Al-Muraikhi, in the sidelines of the Forum, underline the diplomatic efforts being undertaken.
Following his participation in the Doha Forum, Minister Saud is set to embark on a diplomatic journey to Geneva on December 12.
There, he will contribute to the “Human Rights 75” High-Level Event, commemorating the Seventy-fifth Anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has revealed that Minister Saud will actively engage in addressing the Leaders’ Segment and the High-level Pledging Event.
Continuing his diplomatic endeavors, Minister Saud will then proceed to Yerevan, Armenia, on December 13. This visit is in connection with the Landlocked Developing Countries’ Ministerial Meeting scheduled from December 14 to 15, amplifying Nepal’s commitment to collaborative efforts on the international stage.
As the curtains rise on the Doha Forum 2023, it not only serves as a nexus for diplomatic exchanges but also sets the stage for Minister Saud’s subsequent engagements on the global arena.
