CIB informs Parliament Secretariat about lawmaker Sharma’s arrest

KATHMANDU: The Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) of the police has informed the Federal Parliament Secretariat about the arrest of Nepali Congress lawmaker Sunil Kumar Sharma.

Parliament has to be informed when lawmakers are arrested.

Accordingly, CIB wrote a letter to the Parliament Secretariat and informed about the arrest on Thursday afternoon.

CIB arrested Sharma from his Golfutar-based residence on Thursday.

CIB informed the Secretariat that he was arrested in connection with the fake educational certificate.
