NC President Deuba convenes parliamentary party’s working committee meeting



KATHMANDU: In response to the mounting parliamentary tensions, Nepali Congress (NC) President and leader of the parliamentary party, Sher Bahadur Deuba, has taken action by convening a crucial working committee meeting.

The meeting is slated to take place at Deuba’s residence in Dhumbarahi at 4 pm.

The primary focus of this gathering is to address the CPN-UML obstruction at the House of Representatives.

The UML’s disruptive stance and its impact on the legislative process will be on the agenda for deliberation.

Bishwa Prakash Sharma, General Secretary of the NC, confirmed that the parliamentary party’s working committee meeting aims to tackle the ongoing standoff and evaluate potential solutions. Additionally, discussions will extend to encompass other pertinent issues concerning the current political climate.

Notable attendees of this consequential meeting include NC President Deuba himself, along with the two General Secretaries, Gagan Thapa, and Bishwaprakash Sharma. Chief Whip Ramesh Lekhak and Whip Sushila Thing are also part of the Parliamentary Party Working Committee of the NC.
