Prime Minister Dahal should resign on moral grounds: RPP Chair Lingden

KATHMANDU: Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) Chairman Rajendra Lingden has demanded the resignation of Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ on moral grounds.

Speaking at Monday’s meeting of the House of Representatives, the RPP Chair said that the Prime Minister should resign on moral grounds.

He added that the Head of the government should resign on moral grounds on such occasions.

RPP Chair Lingden recalled that the then Law Minister Sher Bahadur Tamang had also resigned on moral grounds.

“This type of expression is not normal in matters related to the sovereignty of this nation,” he said.

Lingden also raised questions about the role of Speaker Devraj Ghimire. He complained that the opposition party RPP was not allowed to speak in the parliament on this issue before.
