PM Dahal, Deuba and Oli hold talks at Singha Durbar

Prime Minister (PM) Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda, Nepali Congress (NC) Sher Bahadur Deuba, and CPN-UML Chairman KP Oli held talks at Singha Durbar on Wednesday afternoon. A source at the PM Dahal’s secretariat said that the meeting focused on contemporary politics, the fake Bhutanese refugee scam, the arrest of NC leader and former Home Minister Bal Krishna Khand, and absconding UMl Secretary Top Bahadur Rayamajhi.

Former Home Minister Bal Krishna Khand arrested

Nepali Congress leader and former Home Minister Bal Krishna Khand has been arrested from his residence on Wednesday. Former Home Minister Khand along with his aide Narendra KC have also been arrested by the police.

Court grants four-day-remand against former Home Minister Khand

The Kathmandu District Court has granted four-day-remand against Former Home Minister and Nepali Congress leader Balkrishna Khand who was arrested on charges of cheating by making fake Bhutanese refugees and sending them to America. The Kathmandu District Court, on Wednesday, allowed Khand to be detained for four more days for investigation.

UML suspends Secretary Top Bahadur Rayamajhi

CPN-UML has suspended Secretary Top Bahadur Rayamajhi for his alleged involvement in the case related to fake Bhutanese refugees. Issuing a press statement on Wednesday, UML General Secretary Shankar Pokharel informed that Rayamajhi has been suspended until the investigation and legal action process are finalized.
