SAPTARI: A man was injured when his daughter was killed in a motorcycle accident at Kalyanpur Bazar of Khadak municipality-7 in Saptari last night.
The deceased has been identified as Anjila Basnet, 10, of Bagaha tole of Triyuga municipality-9 in Udaypur district.
She was a pillion rider on a motorcycle (Ko 15 Pa 192) while her father Dhruba Basnet, 36, was the rider.
The girl breathed her last amidst the treatment at Chhinnamasta Hospital, Rajbiraj, according to Deputy Superintendent of Police, Naresh Kumar Singh. The father is being treated.
A car (Ba 3 Cha 5293) en route to east from west hit the motorcycle coming from the opposite direction, Area Police Office, Kalyanpur said. The car driver has been arrested.
