Commission deplores discrimination against Dalit community



KATHMANDU: The National Dalit Commission has drawn government’s serious attention to book the Chairman of Bhagawanpur Rural Municipality in Siraha, Ugra Narayan Yadav, for his involvement in a discriminatory incident against Dalit community.

Issuing a press note, the Commission has asked the government to take action against Yadav by taking him under control for practising caste-based discrimination act and untouchability.

The Commission has drawn attention of the government to protect the human rights of the Dalit community as well.
