Bagmati Province announces public holiday on Falgun 1



HETAUDA: Bagmati Province government has announced a public holiday on Falgun 1 (February 13) on the occasion of “People’s War Day”.

Spokesman of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Law, Anushil Sapkota, said that the cabinet meeting held on February 7 decided to declare a public holiday on the occasion of “People’s War Day”.

This was the day when the then Maoist party launched what it called the “People’s War” on February 13, 1996.
