Govt elevates cricket stadiums in Biratnagar, Mulpani, and Bharatpur to National Pride Projects

KATHMANDU: The government has decided to designate the Biratnagar Cricket Ground in Morang, the Mulpani Cricket Ground in Kathmandu, and the Gautam Buddha International Cricket Stadium in Chitwan as national pride projects.

The decision was made during a meeting of the Council of Ministers held on Thursday.

According to the government’s spokesperson and the Minister of Communication and Information Technology, Rekha Sharma, there was a significant discussion about the performance of Nepali cricket players during the cabinet meeting.

Recently, Nepal has been selected to participate in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 tournament, to be held in the USA and West Indies.
