Parties mandate govt to bolsters efforts to rescue and repatriate Hamas attack victims in Israel”



KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ engaged in discussions concerning Israel with leaders from various political parties.

During the all party meeting called by Prime Minister Dahal, leaders expressed solidarity towards the government’s initiatives and urged the government to expediate the relief, rescue and repatriating efforts.

CPN-Maoist Center leader Hitraj Pandey revealed that Prime Minister Dahal held talks with political party leaders, urging unity in addressing the Israel issue.

Pandey emphasized that the entire party stands united on the Israel matter, as Prime Minister Dahal convened an all-party meeting, stressing the importance of a collective stance on this issue.

“The meeting affirmed that all parties are aligned on this issue,” Pandey said after the meeting, adding,  “Additionally, the Prime Minister provided insights into the government’s actions regarding the Israel incident.

Party leaders recommended the dissemination of accurate information from official sources regarding the events in Israel.

Ramesh Lekhak, the leader of the Nepali Congress, highlighted the importance of expeditiously repatriating the ten individuals who lost their lives in the Hamas attack and returning them to their families in Nepal.

“There have been suggestions about bringing back the bodies of Nepalis who lost their lives in the Hamas attack and handing them over to their families as soon as possible. The government is working on it. We have received information that Nepalis are being rescued from war-torn areas,” he informed the media, added, “We urge the government to intensify the efforts.”

Ishwar Pokharel, the leader of the main opposition party CPN-UML, urged the government to demonstrate its commitment to rescuing Nepali citizens and emphasized the need for a balanced presentation of the situation.
