Govt. to provide Rs one million compensation to families of Nepali students who lost their lives in Israel attack

KATHMANDU: In a compassionate response to the tragic loss of Nepali students’ lives in the Hamas attack in Israel, the government has announced financial support of Rs one million to the affected families.

This decision was reached during a meeting of the Council of Ministers held at the office of the Prime Minister and the Council of Ministers at Singha Durbar on Monday.

Earlier today, Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda held a video conversation with student leader Bipin Subedi, who is currently in Israel, to express his condolences and offer support.

Tragically, 10 students from Sudurpaschim University, who were in Israel for educational purposes, lost their lives in the attack.

While some of the 49 students have managed to establish consistent contact, it has been reported by the embassy that four individuals sustained injuries, and one person remains missing.
